Julia is part of a group of wood carved masks inspired by religious festivities and carnivals of Mexico as well as African ritual masks, that functions as the scenery of the performance “A gigantic broom to uncover compelling narratives”. Formally the masks are presented as sculptures that portray the stereotypes of the post-colonial dominant system and its contemporary form of representation.
