Artissima presents The Underground Cinema, an exhibition project with films and videos by artists represented by participating galleries. The event will take place November 2 at Gallerie d’Italia, and will feature Les Gayrillères (2022) by Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz and Fireflies (Lucciole) (2021) by Pauline Curnier Jardin in collaboration with Feel Good Cooperative. The event is curated by Irene Calderoni.
In dialogue with the wider thematic framework of Artissima, it explores dream images suspended between waking and sleeping, light and darkness, reality and its projection on the screen of the unconscious.
Other participating artists include Alice Bucknell, Stephanie Comilang, Valentina Furian, Lungiswa Gqunta, Beatrice Marchi, Lili Reynaud Dewar, and Silvia Rivas.
